Last night we played the ever-beloved game of “where is this water coming from?!?” After the bilge pump went off unexpectedly.

Bilge pump area with Airmar transducer and pool of fresh water from a slow leak below deck

Ugh. I hate this game. We found a good size pool of water around the transducer. Oh God. I dipped my finger in and gave a lick. Not salty. Phew!! Now time to trace how the water got there!

I checked under the water pressure tank, we checked under Brian’s seat, we checked under a space we call the garage. No clues. I decided to put this task off until later. We needed to put the boat back together to prepare for our big crossing and go to bed. It is probably a slow leak somewhere.

We left Victoria this morning after cooking up allll our raw chicken last night that I accidentally bought way too much of when we were in Comox. Haha! I accidentally did this last year too. – you are not supposed to bring raw chicken between the two countries or any produce. I gave 5 onions to our dock neighbor in Victoria. Haha “suuuuure, I’ll take your onions.”

Brian did the call in to US customs and it was easy peasy. The longest part was just waiting for the app to work while on the phone with the customs officer.

We took our beloved Canadian courtesy flag down, and said see you later, Canada.
