Sidney!
I love Sidney and I’m so happy to be back!
I’m excited to go to the beach glass beach, go to the organic cotton clothing store and to eat some delicious meals in the cutest little city!
Haha, when we arrived we hailed the marina to get slip assignment and I said we have a reservation for today and they asked for my last name on the reservation which was odd but they had me stand by. I double-checked the dates. I booked the reservation and our reservation actually starts tomorrow, not today. They were so accommodating and got us on the dock without mentioning anything about having the wrong day. I stopped by the office immediately when we docked to settle up but they had already taken care of payment with my credit card on file. Haha. They said it happens more than you’d think.
On Friday after work, we went out for Indian food and then to play cards at a brewery.
When we got back to the marina, our key card didn’t work. Luckily there was a group that came by a bit later that had a working card.
Saturday morning we got breakfast at the Five and Dime Diner. We sat at the counter and enjoyed! Brian ordered a ‘tiger shark’ milkshake to go. Tiger Shark is a local ice cream flavor. It was goooood.
We took a walk on the docks to find the boat of an artist I met the day before. She said she and her husband converted a life boat into their liveaboard boat. I said… What does that even mean? Haha. She said it’s a life boat from a ferry. I had to see it to understand.
Pretty incredible.
Then we went to sea glass beach. I found some small treasures to take home with me.
We spent the day going to some cute little shops and getting bites to eat. At one of the shops, I got a new board game that is mushroom foraging themed!! It’s fast and easy and it’s fun to have a new game on board.
It was a great day.
Sunday was a slow start to the day. Brian has been having sudden sharp headaches lately. They seem similar to a couple years ago when the doctor mentioned it might be from his high blood pressure.
We eventually got out for happy hour, I got a drink called the shaft which is a Canadian drink featuring cold brew coffee, Kahlua, Baileys, etc. It’s similar to a white Russian, which I love and I think the shaft is even better.
