Passage to Comox
We are back-tracking a bit here, but not a problem.
Very very very smoky this morning! Ash was falling on the boat.
And our short 1 hour motor here was rough! 25 knots at our beam. We went straight to fuel dock, we had 1/3 tank.
After fuel dock we went to our slip.
Docking at Comox Valley Marina was one of the hardest we’ve done to date. Super sharp ‘S-curves’ and we were in about 25+ knots of wind. We had never been there before and it is also a very shallow marina. All of this combined just makes things extra challenging.
We had problems with someone trying to ‘help’ us dock, but I’m not going to get into that here. We would have been better off without his help.
At end of day… We are fine. The bow only kissed the dock, and the hull only drifted into the dock and it’s fine. Woof.
