Passage to Comox area
Rolly!! Ugh. We’ve def had worse, but this isn’t fun. Views are spectacular though.
Our first time transiting the west side of Strait of Georgia. We have avoided this since we started. But we want to go to Tribune Bay!!! It’s the ‘Hawaii of British Columbia’ and everyone is always so surprised when we tell them we haven’t been there yet. Haha.
We’ll need to avoid it for the next 3-4 days because the wind is going to flip from the north to the south, and you do not want to be on Tribune Bay if wind is coming from South. So we’ll hopefully hang out on Comox until then. Gotta call the marina yet to see if they have room for us.
It’s stressful not knowing if you’ll get a spot at the dock. Yesterday for example we really wanted to be at the dock in Heriot Bay. I would have loved to have done laundry and gotten trash off the boat, and been closer to the grocery store. But all that was left at the dock was the most exposed outer dock, that the woman working said power boaters just left it, saying it was just too uncomfortable for them. Soooo… We anchored. Luckily we could anchor. There’s plenty of places where that’s not an option… And then what do you do? You somehow figure it out.
