Octopus Islands
Last year this was our northernmost point. Wow, we went so much further this year!!!
We love this spot, so we might stay here for a few days. There’s also a gale warning out in Johnstone strait, so staying put in a protected anchorage is a sound move.
I cut up my reishi mushroom and put it in on deck to dry. I’ll be moving it around (in and out of the boat) for several days until it’s dry.
Then I made us margaritas and we played some card games. I won at Skipbo and Brian won at Cribbage. We played on our new mini crib board we got in Nanaimo art walk in the beginning of our trip. It’s perfect for the boat!
Then we went for a hike with Maui, and helped a guy on shore get to his dinghy. The shore is very shallow here and the tide comes up fast. He would have needed to swim a good bit to get to his dinghy, so we just taxied him to his dinghy. This happens to a lot of people here.
Packers had their first pre-season game today, so Brian figured out how to stream the game, and we enjoyed it with dinner, except the pack didn’t look too good.
Weekend days when we aren’t traveling the whole time are our favorite!! We get to spend time together. Weekdays we honestly don’t spend quality time together. Brian focuses really hard on work all day, and I focus on driving and everything else that needs to get done.
Happy Saturday!! <3
