Decided to Anchor in Otter Shoal because the dock was full at Hartley Bay.

Hartley Bay is a native community. They don’t have roads, and instead have boardwalks, and all the buildings are built 8-10 feet off the ground. I imagine it’s because it gets too marshy in the area. They get around with ATV’s, and golf carts. And I saw this cuuuute little van, that I want.

There are no stores or really anything for someone visiting …except fuel.

200 people live here.

I was amazed at how new the buildings/homes are.

They had a medical building, police building, fire station, church, playground, school and daycare (maybe more, but that’s what we could see)

After a walk about, we ate dinner and went over to Grato to play cards for the evening. We played Golf.

It was a lot of fun. I came on dead last, haha.

Today’s location will be our furthest location north. It’s our turn around spot. And I’ve got lots of feelings about that.

I don’t want to go ‘home’ yet… my brain says, but home is still well over 600 miles away (without any ‘side-quests’).

I’m so proud of us. We’re about 150 miles shy of Alaska. That’s SO far!! As brian keeps reminding me, it’s not just about the destination it’s always all about the journey. And we’re having a heck of a good time, so… We’re doing so great. <3

As I say, we shot for the moon (Alaska) and landed among the stars (Central Coast of British Columbia).
